The MTLG is a coalition of several law firms that represent hundreds of plaintiffs, present and former Mac Tools (Mac1) distributors, who filed suit against The Stanley Works, Inc., and American Express Business Finance Corporation (“Amex”) in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Ohio, in Cleveland, Ohio, on September 21, 2004. That suit was filed on behalf of 93 clients of the law firms that comprise the MTLG, and remains pending.
The class defined in the lawsuit is as follows: “all present and former Mac mobile tool distributors in the United States who were engaged in such activities during the period of September 18, 1989 to the present (the “Class”)”. Therefore, if you were a Mac Distributor at anytime during this period, and lost money as a result, then you may find the information here to be of interest.
The purpose of this web site is to provide information to the hundreds of current clients of the MTLG. Also, this web site is intended to provide information to the thousands of interested former Mac distributors who would like some information on the pending litigation.
